On the afternoon of August 22, our college successfully held an academic workshop entitled “Pandemic Situation and A New Perspective of Marxist Theory Research”. Experts and scholars from Nanjing University, Southeast University, Hohai University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, East China University of Political Science and Law and other universities attended the conference.

Zhang Bin and Zhao Tao made speeches successively. Zhang pointed out that holding Marxism theory academic workshops is our important measures to strengthen the construction of Marxist theory of discipline.Zhao Tao stressed that domestic Marxist theorists should explain the differences between Chinese and Western governance through the Pandemic, and constantly enhance the confidence in the construction of China's academic discourse system.

During the theme report stage, experts and scholars held heated discussions on topics such as “the frontier and trend of Marxist theoretical research under the Pandemic situation”, “the focus of the research team and direction of the basic principles of Marxism”, “the construction of Marxist colleges and the 14th five-year Plan”, “the application of scientific research topics and the guidance of academic research methods”. At the closing ceremony, Professor Wang Haobin, Marxism college Nanjing University, made a summary of the theoretical and practical value of expert and scholar theme reports and the positive significance of the workshop.

This academic workshop is undertook by the Special discipline of “Contemporary Application of Historical Materialism” and the “Contemporary Chinese Economic Issues of Marxism College”.our college will take this workshop as an opportunity to further refine its research direction and promote its construction to a new level.
