On the morning of October 31, the Teaching and Research Department of Basic Marxist Theory held the Golden Lesson Forum as scheduled in the room 304 of The School of Continuing Education of West University. Professor Guo Fengzhi, second-class professor and doctoral supervisor of Marxism Department of Northeast Normal University, was invited to give a keynote lecture on Promoting reform and Innovation of Ideological and Political Courses according to the requirements of 'Eight Unified Aspects'. College leaders, chief and deputy directors of each teaching and research department and all teachers of Principles teaching and research department attended the lecture. Professor Zhang Bin, general Secretary of the Party Branch and President of the College, presided over the lecture.

With curriculum construction as the center, Professor Guo Fengzhi expounded the significance and realization ways of improving the research and teaching maturity of ideological and political course in colleges and universities. She stressed that ideological and political courses shoulder the important mission of educating people for the Party and the country. Teachers should follow the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech on March 18 and promote the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses in accordance with the requirements of unifying the eight aspects. Ideological and political course teachers should guide students to think deeply about the course content based on learning and teaching, so as to improve the learning effect. At the same time, we should try our best to overcome the slogan and performance on-site teaching mode to improve the appeal and effectiveness of classroom teaching. She encouraged the teachers here to teach in accordance with their aptitude and make continuous improvement. Without the best, strive for the better.

In view of the problem of how to teach the content of the Principles course in a complete and systematic way within a limited class period proposed by Teacher Wei Hongxia of the Department of Basic Marxist Theory Teaching and Research, Professor Guo Fengzhi points out that it is an effective way to complete the teaching of the content of the textbook with quality and quantity by properly integrating the textbook chapters and presenting them in a thematic form.

Professor Zhang Bin concluded that teachers of the college should actively integrate love, study principles, learn textbooks thoroughly, learn examples, cherish the class, earnestly teach every ideological and political lesson, and guide students to buckle the first button of life.

The holding of this Golden course Forum is conducive to further improving the level of ideological and political course construction of the college, and is conducive to promoting the current and future teaching, scientific research, faculty construction, social services and other work.
