On the afternoon of December 16, Xu Honglei, the alumnus of our university and president of Nanjing Chengming Academy, was invited to give a theme report entitled Transmitting wisdom and Imparting Knowledge is based on Morality, Filial Piety is the Most Important to Moral Education for our teachers and students. All the teachers of Marxism School and Literature School, some staff of the Department of Security, and some representatives of teachers attended the meeting. The meeting will be presided over by Yang Jie, chairman of the school trade union.

Xu Honglei firstly gave an account on the benevolence and morality contained in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, combined with his own experience, expounded that the teacher's dignity should be based on virtue, and that the platform was not only the stage of teaching, but also the position of serving the country. He stressed that the important role of excellent family style and family education, and points out that parents should educate their children to be loyal to their families and serve the country.

Yang Jie summarized the report. He pointed out that transmitting wisdom and imparting knowledge is the historical mission of teachers, and it is the fundamental task of teachers to cultivate people by moral education. Teachers should embrace great love and make contributions to the training of socialist builders and successors. This report make teachers further understand the excellent Chinese traditional culture and enhance the their sense of pride, mission and responsibility as a school educator.
