On the afternoon of March 25, an academic on the methodology of Capital jointly held by the scientific research department, Graduate School and Marxism School was held in our conference room. Ding Baojun, professor and doctoral supervisor of Marxism School of Zhejiang University, was invited to speak. Some teachers and graduate students attended the lecture. Zhang Bin, Secretary of the general Party branch and Dean of our school, presided over the lecture.

Starting from the relationship between the history of the party and Capital, Professor Ding analyzed how to use the research method of Capital to research modern Chinese history, and how to find the root of social change from Capital.From the perspective of historical materialism, Professor Ding focused on the relationship among materialism, dialectics and epistemology, and emphasized the holistic characteristics of Marxism. Finally, Professor Ding answered the relevant questions raised by some teachers and students in detail, and pointed out that in academic and scientific research work, everyone should be challenging and innovative. This lecture had a unique perspective and novel methods.

Vice Dean Zhou Ning, concluded that Professor Ding had a logical way of thinking and method construction, which benefited teachers and students. This lecture provided good method guidance for the academic research work of teachers and students in our school.
