From July 21st to 27th, 2024, 14 teachers from School of Marxism participated in the Exploring Yan'an Red Cultural Resources and Helping the Teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities of Zedong Cadre College of Yan'an University - the fourth training course for backbone teachers of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities across the country. The purpose of this training is to improve the professional quality of the backbone teachers of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities across the country through in-depth study of the valuable revolutionary experience and spiritual connotation of the Yan'an period, explore a new path for colleges and universities to establish morality and cultivate people in the new era, and temper talents for ideological and political education in colleges and universities.

During the training, in order to consolidate the theoretical literacy of the participating teachers in ideological and political courses and enrich the teaching resources of ideological and political courses, the trainees listened to special reports such as Thirteen Years of the Party Central Committee in Yan'an, Reflections on How to Improve the Basic Skills of Ideological and Political Teachers in Yan'an, and Historical Experience and Enlightenment of Ideological and Political Education in Yan'an Period. Through the special teaching, the students further understood the great revolutionary process and great achievements of the party in the Yan'an period, and drew experience and enlightenment from history.

The former site of the Yan'an Revolution has witnessed the revolutionary process of the Communist Party of China leading the military and the people to work hard, and it is a book that can never be finished. During the training, the trainees successively walked into the Phoenix Mountain Revolutionary Site, Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall, Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site, Lu Xun College of Arts and Letters, Nanniwan Revolutionary Site, Liangjiahe Educated Youth Site, Yan'an University History Museum and other red historical sites, and appreciated the rich red historical and cultural resources of Yan’an at the place where the revolutionary history took place.

At the former site of the Yangjialing Revolution, the students of the Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site and the Nanniwan Revolutionary Site participated in on-site teaching such as Persisting in Self-Revolution - Jumping Out of the Historical Cycle, Commemorating Bethune, The Large-scale Production Movement and the Spirit of Nanniwan, etc., and understood the confidence of the Chinese Communists to have the courage to self-revolution, and deeply understood the first answer given by Mao Zedong on how to jump out of the historical cycle. In the former residence of the educated youth, the Liangjiahe Brigade, the students experientially reviewed the 7 years of the general secretary's educated youth, participated in the on-site teaching of Xi Jinping’s Feelings for the People and Practical Responsibility in Liangjiahe, visited the Former Residence of the Educated Youth, The Well of the Educated Youth and The First Biogas Digester in Shaanxi Province, and felt the University Question contained in the Liangjiahe. Watch the stage play Yan’an Nursery School, which integrates dance, northern Shaanxi folk songs, Yangge and other artistic expressions with local characteristics, and the vivid performance makes the students feel as if they are in the war-torn era of the Yan'an period, and the revolutionary martyrs shed their blood for the growth of the next generation and the future of the motherland, and the spirit of selfless dedication infected every student present.

The theme of this training is clear, the content is rich, the form is diverse, it is a walking ideological and political class, not only to improve the theoretical literacy of the participating teachers, but also to further enrich the teaching resources of ideological and political courses, to lay a solid foundation for the implementation of the fundamental task of moral education, and to play a good role in promoting the construction of the teaching team of our college.
