On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the founding of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, on May 25, the inaugural meeting and the first member congress of the alumni branch of the School of Marxism were held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Mingli Building on the West Campus of Longhu. More than 70 people attended the meeting, including some veteran leaders of the college, alumni representatives Professor Cao Tiansheng, Professor Wang Xianping,  and representatives of teachers and students of the college. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Bin, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Dean of the College.

At the meeting, Gu Siwei read out the Reply on Agreeing to Establish the Alumni Branch of the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, and awarded the plaque and issued the letter of appointment to the Alumni Branch of the School of Marxism.

The meeting deliberated and approved the Constitution of the Alumni Branch of the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economics (draft), and elected and voted on the Recommended List of Directors of the First Council of the Alumni Branch of the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economicsand The Recommended List of the President, Vice President, Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General of the First Council of the Alumni Branch of the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economics.

After the election of the conference, Zhang Bin was elected as the chairman of the first council of the alumni branch of the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economics; Wang Cheng, Wang Dao, and Xie Liusha were elected vice presidents of the Council; 17 people were elected as members of the council, including Wang Cheng, Wang Dao, Xu Wei, Tong Yong and Xie Liusha. Xu Wei was elected Secretary-General of the Council, and Lv Xiayun and He Wenxiao were elected Deputy Secretary-General of the Council.

Professor Cao Tiansheng and Professor Wang Xianping expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the alumni chapter. They fondly recalled the development process from the School of Political Science, the Teaching and Research Department of Ideological and Political Theory to the School of Marxism, expressed their sincere satisfaction with the achievements and vigorous development momentum of the college, and expressed that they would continue to pay attention to and support the development of the college, and look forward to creating new brilliance.

Zhang Bin, chairman of the first council, made a summary of the conference, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to alumni from all over the province for taking the time to participate in the conference. He hoped that the alumni would insist on using the giant ruler of Marxist thought to measure the whole world, and that time would move forward, and the college would like to continue to write a new chapter with everyone.
