On December 2,the theoretical seminar of Theory and Practice of Chinese Modernization ,sponsored by Anhui Marxist Society, organized by the School of Marxism of Anhui University of Finance and Economics and co-organized by Bengbu Ethics Society, was held in our school. Wang Xianjun, deputy director of the Cultural, History and Learning Committee of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the Marxist Society, and Zhang Yaxin, deputy secretary of the school party committee, attended the opening ceremony. More than 110 experts, scholars and postgraduate representatives from more than 30 universities, including the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei University of Technology and Anhui Normal University, participated in the seminar. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Bin, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Dean of the School of Marxism of our school.

Zhang Yaxin expressed his sincere thanks to the people who cared about and supported the construction and development of our university, and warmly welcomed all the experts and scholars who came to the seminar. He introduced the situation of the school in terms of development and reform, talent team, discipline construction and talent training. He pointed out that modernization is a sign of the progress of human civilization, and Chinese modernization is a great and arduous undertaking.

Wang Xianjun made an annual work report on behalf of the society, reviewing and summarizing the main work of the society in the past year from seven aspects.He pointed out that the Marxist Society has made excellent achievements in serving the high-quality economic and social development of Anhui, and made arrangements for the main work of the society in 2024. The seminar was organized in four sessions.A total of 21 papers were selected, including 2 special prizes, 6 first prizes and 13 second prizes.Wang Xianjun, Wang Zhaoliang and Shi Zhenbao presented certificates to the winning authors respectively.

The successful holding of this conference has deepened the understanding of the nature, connotation, characteristics, significance and practice of Chinese modernization, gained a deeper understanding of the creation of a new form of human civilization by Chinese modernization, and played a positive role in further expanding relevant research and promoting the construction of Marxist theoretical disciplines.
