China's economic exploration and development in the process of reform and opening up has contributed to the world a shining successful model of contemporary socialist political economy theory and practice. Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is the latest theoretical achievement of contemporary Chinese Marxist political economy, and the economic theory of the Chinese Communists in the 21st century to pursue global economic justice and realize a strong socialist country with Chinese characteristics and enrich the people. The formation of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics has a strong philosophical foundation, covering the principles of historical materialism, the worldview and methodology of materialist dialectics, and the essence of traditional Chinese philosophical thought. The political economy of the Chinese Communists is not engineering in nature, and it is not a materialism that uses simple technical data to show the opportunities of the market or risk warning, but on the basis of revealing the laws of economic development and in the philosophical context of pursuing historical progress and economic justice, it ensures at a deeper level the practice of helping the people and governing the country. Only when the political economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics achieves theoretical consciousness of its own philosophical heritage can it construct a systematic category, principle and logical structure, and form a complete theoretical system.
